The Women's Association

Regular meetings of the Women’s Association are held each Tuesday, from October through May. The group gathers in the parlor to work on various projects which currently include the construction of lap robes and tote bags for nursing homes, and the making of cards which are given out in South America in conjunction with a mission to help needy people with eyesight problems.

Besides an annual contribution to the Church budget, the Women's Association also makes contributions to Church Women United, Ryder Memorial Hospital, American Board of Missions, National Leper Society, Church World Service, and supports a Native American Child through Children Incorporated.

!Recycle!
The Women’s Association is collecting several used items for reuse in various ministries.

  1. Eyeglasses and cases - soft cases are preferred
  2. Used greeting cards
  3. Used commemorative stamps - just tear off the part of the envelope where the stamp is attached.
  4. You will find collection boxes for these items on a table in the parlor.

STAMPS FOR SERVICE

For Church World Service save your commemorative stamps - persons, places, or events - and be sure to leave the paper around the stamps. Last year Church World Service received $1,800 for used stamps. That money went toward providing blankets, and tools of hope for people here at home and around the globe. Look for a collection box for the stamps in the parlor.

The Women’s Association finished 12 lap robes since the first of the year and they were delivered to Harborside Healthcare Beachwood. Clothing was made for four dolls to be used for teaching in the Sunday School. We welcome all women of the church to join us on Tuesdays at 10 AM for work and fellowship.
