STEWARDSHIP MINISTRY

CHURCH GROUNDS - Rev. Young working with representative from Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF) on issues regarding Church grounds. Clinic to trim bushes, mulch and mow lawn.

NO SMOKING - No smoking on Church property and parking lot now being monitored and enforced by CCF.
SUMP PUMP - Non-working sump pump replaced.

PLAYGROUND VS PARKING SPACES – Stewardship Ministry approved appointment of Committee to study the pros and cons of playground vs. parking spaces. 1) remove playground to add additional parking spaces vs. 2) retain and update current playground. Committee: John Merritt, Cathylu Russell, plus member of Christian Education Ministry, youth at large, member at large and two others who will be selected. Both points of view need to be represented on committee.

BUDGET – Made plans to revise EACC Budget which will be mailed to members prior to Sunday, June 1, 2008 Congregational Meeting.

SERVICE WORK DAY TO CLEAN AREAS OF CHURCH - National Office of UCC (Cleveland) is having a Service Work Day at EACC on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 from 9:30 to 12 noon. Approximately 15 volunteers from the National Office will work on pre-selected projects at

EACC – dusting/polishing pews, polishing communion serving trays or dusting and polishing stairway banisters at both entrances (projects to be determined).

CLEAN OUT CHURCH - FYI: A Clean Out Day is being planned to clear out storage areas being used as dumping ground for broken items, etc. throughout the church. Volunteers will be needed. Date to be set soon.

USE OF SPACE - Al Parks will oversee the processing of Use of Space (UOS) forms needing approval by SM. All UOS forms are to be submitted to the church secretary, Diana Reid, who will direct them to the SM.

OPEN/CLOSE CHURCH SUNDAY MORNINGS – Al Parks has graciously agreed to open and close the church again this year on Sundays starting May 4th during our custodian, Ernie’s, usual summer Sunday schedule.
